Tuesday, February 16, Southern Wake Women in Marketing (BNC, Cary), 9 am. I will be presenting on “Finding Your Authentic Voice.” When working with clients, job-seeking, and networking, it can be difficult to get your message across in a unique and memorable way.

Tuesday, February 23, Coffee & Contacts (Brier Creek, Bob Evans restaurant, 11:45 am, $1): “Demystifying Social Media for Business.” You may have heard of the litany of social media available, and been told over and over that you should use it! What if you feel overwhelmed by it and don’t know where to start? Laura Poole of Archer Coaching Services will talk about how to take a sane approach to making use of social media (focusing on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Inside919) that anyone can fit into her schedule. If you can take 5 minutes a day, you can master social media for your business in no time.

Tuesday, March 2, Change for Living Mental Health and Allied Professionals Network (Raleigh, NC, 6 pm). I will be presenting a program on “Life Coaching: What Therapists and Counselors Should Know.” Do you know what coaching is? Do you know what a life coach really does? There are a lot of confusing ideas about the field of coaching, many of which are inaccurate. Laura Poole, certified professional coach and member of the International Coach Federation, will discuss what life coaching is, how it differs from therapy and counseling, how you might use a life coach personally, what to look for when referring clients to a coach, and how coaching can work in conjunction with the mental health professions.

Thursday, March 11, BPW Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC, 7 pm) I will be presenting “Professionally Speaking: 6 Keys to Better Presentations.” If the idea of speaking in public (or talking with clients or your boss, or job interviewing) makes your knees knock in fear, then this presentation is for you!
