You make some good points - can I add a note of caution? 90% of tm groups are great but don't assume that yours will be. Don't just go to the nearest: try it, get objective feedback on it and then try others.... Like I say, 90% of them are great but as a professional I've seen some very (VERY!) bad advice being given there too. The great thing about them is that you get feedback from your peers, but remember they're just peers, not experts.
